i too had to watch the Mavs beat some spurs butt, so it took me awhile to watch alias because i also watched the season finale of 24, not a good day for jacks bristow & bauer. so after watching the mavs, watching the post game interviews, & watching 24 i figured i would start alias & finish it in the morning. next thing you know it's 4:30 am and i am glued to the tv, great ending to an almost perfect show. makes you wonder what they would have done with the rimbaldi stuff if they hadn't turned season 4 into a random spy mission of the week. but still great ending, sad jack died, sad that sloane didn't die, really irritated in vaughn for not shooting sark a couple more times before letting him go, glad that fricnie was only shown in a flashback & not crazy spy francie, happy that syd has a smile on he face & that the MAVS BEAT THE SPURS!

Just had another thought, maybe there will be a few more answers in the DVD's extras. You know "Deleted Scenes" or maybe even an alternative ending??? That would be cool, an alternative ending. Also, I was wondering why Jack did not wear a bullet-proof vest for the mission. Every season of this show has had at least one scene where someone is shot, but they had their vest on. "Boy, I'm sure glad you had your vest on, Vaughn!" So now they are on a mission of such gravity....such magnitude.....stopping a maniac.....and Jack's NOT going to wear a vest?

It would be so cool to have an extended ending. I think J.J. should go back and re-edit the first episode this season and make one change that will change the way everyone sees this season. Hey, if George Lucas can change Star Wars over and over, they can make a change to Alias. I'm sure many of you can figure out what it is, but I'll tlak about it in the new podcast, whioch I hope to have ready this week.
As far as Jack not having a vest, it's yet another little thing we'll have to overlook. Sure, 90% of the time Jack would have one. Oh well, what are you gonna do......

BUT SHERI, COME ON THIS IS JACK !!!! WOULD HE REALLY WEAR A VEST AT ANY TIME??? And for the life of me can anybody remember why Jack revived Sloane in the first place after the Government had killed him? Was that part of the pay back Jack had promised Sloane for taking care of Sydney when she was young? OMG the questions, they won't stop........

I thought the old guy down in the prison who handed Syd the Horizon was Rambaldi.
I agree that jbrams didn't tie everything off the way he should have. What was the point of Irina and the stupid missiles. I thought she was chasing power and it was like a race between her and Sloane with Jack playing both sides kind of like a referee so he could keep Sydney safe. That whole power triangle was lost. And I agree big-time that it was hard to buy Jack's death, although I will forgive them for that because his final line was so great. Like Syd would just leave him there, though. AND, what about that secret plot between Jack and Sloane in season four? We never found out what that was all about. I really was disappointed in Irina's end-game. I agree that it should have been a showdown between Jack and Irina and Sloane. I always thought Jack had some secret plan of his own as well. I mean, he wasn't perfect, putting Sydney in Project Christmas and all of that.
I kind of pictured it being something like Iring manipulating Sydney into retrieving the Horizon, and Sloane showing up just as Irina was about to walk away with it. Then Sydney siding with her mother to take down Sloane, but Jack coming in at the last minute with proof of Irina's end-game in a way that makes it necessary for him to back Sloane. So you have a face-off of Jack/Sloane vs. Sydney/Irina and the mother issue for Sydney coming back into play. And there could have been so many cool parent-child "custody" issues even with Sloane, because he was her godfather and had that whole creepy parent thing going in season one. And all of them manipulated her more than once in her life, but then in the end she would have to realize that Irina and Sloane were out for themseves and Jack was just trying to find a way for her to be happy. But oh, the tension while she was trying to decide would have been so great! I think the parent triangle power struggle at the core was what made this show so attractive. It is what all the viewers could identify with, and we lost a lot of that beginning with season three. It's a shame. But I still love the characters and the show and oh man oh man, I love Jennifer Garner. Victor Garber too. I hope he gets some great lines in that new series, although I agree that courtroom dramas are getting worn-out.

Listen, while you're grabbing the Rambaldi manuscript, if you happen to see a sandwich...

Most likely we will get together when the DVD's come out since we might be in them as "FAN FEATURETTES". We'll keep everybody informed just keep watching the website.

Just FYI, ALL-Con has offered us the chance to do another marathon in 2007. The best news of all is that they are moving to a new hotel, a much nicer one, and we will be given a large meeting room to accomodate everything. I dont know if we should do a full Alias Marathon, or a LOST Marathon, or half and half? let me know what you all think, and PLEASE tell others about the site, because if we get a strong Dallas area following, we stand a good chance of gettting an Alias guest to appear at the next con. It will take a Firefly/Serenity type of following. Ok, maybe not that big, but the bigger, the better.
I would think we would do a DVD release party just to see if we all made the DVD. Once we get closer, we'll see.
